Vintage Barbershop Boards
1998 Exhibition Invite: African Hairways
An exuberant Ernest IV shows off his dexterity with scissors on a not-so-sure Russell the Only in front of '“Kwesi B”, a barber building with ubiquitous American flag iconography brought intact from Teshie, Ghana, while Godzilla (the original!) in fantastic afterlife vehicle (FAV) form glares on from the sidelines, and a Ghanaian barber sign rendering of Christopher Reid (“Kid”) of House Party fame, points towards the action.*
