“Art and painting is about creativity, and as a common knowledge to everyone, the whole world was created by God and he made everything in it. Hence, I was very happy if I could create things through Art and paint.”
Born 1973. Apprentice of Africatta. One of the “Kumasi Four,” whose posters often appear as if the paint were applied with an airbrush rather than a regular paint brush. Many of the most worn and soft to the point of almost feeling like baby blankets, two-bag format posters that exist today are from his oeuvre. Can paint both gestural, abstracted figures floating on a color field, as well as exactingly detailed musculature and clothing on more complex backgrounds. As do several other Golden Age painters, he often uses blue white highlights to great effect. Paints recognizable World Cinema stars with aplomb. Also known as “Easy Boy” for his signature response, “that’s easy” to any task in the workshop. Directedly painted movie posters from the mid 90s until the millennium when he also saw the market for his skills all but evaporate. Currently makes a living painting commercial signage, including custom font funereal placards on metal.
